How to make many friends easily..

by: Ivan Campuzano

With every goal you have in life, people will always be a critical part of it. How fast you reach your goals depends on how well you deal with people and the level of influence you have on them. In order to really influence people you must become a person who is likable. How do you become likable? You must have a sincere interest in other people. Every person on this earth wants to feel important, so you need to treat everyone with the up most importance, because they deserve it. Remember no one is better than you and you are not better than anyone, we are all human beings who deserve the same amount of respect.
Becoming Likable:

Setting the Stage

Your goal in meeting people should be to consciously be the first to initiate and set the stage for conversation. Most people are hesitant to be the first, don’t be like most people step out of your comfort zone. I know that if you are a shy person that this can be one of the hardest things for you to do, but the more you do it, the more you condition your self for it to become second nature. As a small kid I used to be really shy but I noticed that the kids that where outgoing tended to be the happier kids so I began to step out of my comfort zone and now I feel I can walk up to almost anyone. This is going to take time; things don’t happen over night but don’t let this discourage you. Many people feel that for you to become proficient in something takes around five years. Don’t waste anytime, start today and each day after that will get easier. Each different experience will later serve as a reference to remind you, that you can approach almost anyone. By being the first to initiate conversation you also automatically have a certain degree of control, you are able to draw people into your own rhythms. Have you ever noticed how persuasive people are able to seduce you to their ways, dictating your body language and basically synchronizing it to theirs? This is because people naturally imitate other people as a way of communicating with the other person. So if you are the first you get to decide what angle to approach. So if the person you are approaching appears sad, approach them with a big confident smile. Odds are they will slowly begin to smile; you will automatically change their mood. Now you will have a better chance of having a better conversation.

How to Relieve Stress for Free

July 23, 2008

When talking about stress, stress management experts will always emphasize that the focus should be on making stress work for you, rather than eliminating stress. Without a doubt, it is impossible to live a stress free life in our times, when the needs of money and material wants and needs drives us to study hard and work harder. It is also perhaps a little known fact that stress need not always be bad.

Stress refers to our reaction from the conflict between our external environment and us, leading to emotional and physical pressure. The key is in learning to distinguish when the levels of stress are too high, and how to take steps to reduce the level of stress so that it remains optimal for you. Here are 3 tips to help your relieve stress for free!

Tip #1: Always set Goals

At the start of each day, week or month, it is crucial that you set yourself goals. These goals should be SMART, meaning that they have to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound. Remember that your goals should always be realistic, and by pursuing the goals that you have set out you will be able to achieve more than you thought you were capable of in the time span you have set yourself. It is no point to set goals that are overly ambitious, as the end result may be undesirable, with you unable to meet your goals and hence feeling stressed out and experiencing a lower sense of self confidence.

Tip #2: Improve your Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence here is taken in the context of managing your emotions, especially in relation to stressful situations. This is usually measured by an indicator known as the Emotional Quotient, or EQ. Most often, your emotional reactions may be more extreme than called for, and this is due to your perception of threat to your emotional wellbeing. It is important that you do not adopt extremist views with regards to any situation, though it definitely does not mean that you should not have an opinion. Remember that there is no strict black or white, and that our opinions should always be flexible along the gradient of gray.

Tip #3: Time Management

With proper time management, you will find that 24 hours a day is more than sufficient for you to complete everything that you want or need to, including rest. Before you go to sleep each night, review what you have done for the day, and what you are planning to do the next day. Follow a set of priorities, or draw up a daily to do list, complete with a realistic amount of time allocated to each task. However, there is no need to be overly rigid to the timetable as certain tasks may require more time due to greater complexity than accounted for.

I Think I Can. I Think I Can. Can I?

I think I can. I think I can. Can I?

Your mental train ticket to self-empowerment

We all find ourselves at certain points in our lives holding first class tickets to negative mental trains of thought. Michele Wahlder (MS, LPC, PCC), a two-time cancer survivor and Dallas, Texas-based Certified Life Coach and Psychotherapist, has placed thousands of people on the right track to self-empowerment via a plan she calls the 5 C Process. The journey challenges individuals to:

One

Clarify Current View – Where are you now- honestly?

Conscious awareness of your current view is the first step in becoming the best you can be. Getting clear about how your life aligns with your values, talents and unique gifts is vital to your happiness. You need to know where you are in order to learn where you want to go.

You can clarify your current view by completing a review of eight life areas. Be honest with yourself about how happy are you with your profession, finances, health and overall well-being, primary relationships, personal development, spirituality, environment, hobbies, etc.

Intoduction of Training Within Industry (TWI)

July 22, 2008

Training within industries (TWI), rooted in training programs going back at least 100 years, is a well proven methodology that has long been a “hidden part of the toyota production system. Using TWI job-program (J-Program), people skilled in describing work, instructing work, and sustaining worker relations can develop and hold standart work.Inability to hold standart work is one of the mayor reason why lean initiatives stagnate instead of progressing on toward autonomous, daily improvement. TWI is being re-born in United States, and a few companies are beginning to show remarkable result from it.At beginning of world war II, quickly training “green” workers in skilled industrial jobs was high priority. To become rosie the riveter, Rosie needed to learn skill fast. TWI administratorsmcreated robust methods of training- three programs, each complete with a training manual that was exactly scripted-and that had been thoroughly tested in actual manufacturing plants. Each of the J-program was delivered in its standard and repeatable form to others who, in turn, repeated the process- delivered it in its standard and repeatable form. This train-the trainer approach quickly deployed instruction would have varying levels of experience.
1.Job Instruction(JI) was the TWI J-program rolled out first. Training was the most immediate need. The job instruction card, shown below, was directly based on Charles Allen’s 4 step training methode, woch dated from early in the 20th century. The objective of job instruction was to teach supervisors how to develop a well-trained work force. If they are skilled in instruction, supervisors can reduce defects, rejects, rework, accidents, and demage to tool and equipment. But if supervisors are not skilled in instruction, no matter how to knowledgeable or skilled they are in the work itself, they cannot not effectively pass it on to others. Human errors go unchecked and uncorrected. Job instruction teaches supervisors how to break down jobs for instrution. JI thus develops skill making work easy to understand.Step 1 emphasizes first preparing an operator to learn, followed by properly demonstrating work using a job breakdown wich identifies its important steps and key points. As trainees progress to performing trial runs, the intructor observes them;then tapers off coaching while continuing to follow up

HOW TO GET READY TO INSTRUCT
Have a Time table
How much skill you expect him to have, by what date
Breakdown a job
list importance step, pick out the key point (safety is always a key point )
have everything ready
The right equipment,materials and supplies
have workplace
Properly arranged
just as the worker will be expected to keep it

HOW TO INSTRUCT
Step 1-Prepare the Worker
put him at case
state the job and find out what he already knows about it.
Get him interested in learning the job
place in correct position
Step 2 -Present the operation
Tell show, and illustrate one IMPORTANT STEP at a time.
Stress each KEY POINT
instruct early, completely, and patiently, but nomore than he can master
Step3 – Try out performance
Have him do the job – correct errors
have him explain each KEY POINT
make sure be understand
continue until You Know He knows
Step 4 – Follow up
put him on his own. Designate to whom he goes for help
Check frequently, encourage question
Taper off extra coaching and close follow up

2.Job Methods (JM) rolled out next. JM helped supervisors produce grater quantities of quality product in less time, by making the best use available manpower, and material. This skill was necessary to improve the job wihout help from engineers or managers, and using only resources at hand, because wartime shortages could be severe. Job methods taught supervisors how to breakdown jobs into their constituent operations, questioning details and developing new methods by eliminating, combining, rearranging, and simplifying these detail. Does this sound like Kaizen? It is, although it was done mostly by supervisors and confined mostly to work station Kaizen, not work flow kaizen
3.Job Relation (JR) was the final J-Program. Job relation helped supervisors improve their ability to work with people and promoted teamwork. Supervisors that do not bring out the best in other people are ineffective. They need the cooperation of workers and others. Once they have job realtion skills, improves cooperation prevent some problem from occuring. And problems that do occur are resolved more effectively.Job realtion taught supervisors how to get the facts, weigh them carefully, make a decision, take action, and check result. Its basic principle include: providing constructive feedback, giving credit when due, telling people in advance about change that will affect them, making the best use of each persons ablity and earning the employee’s loyalty and cooperation, sound like ideals in a lean work culture too. During world war II, Training within industies made a big diffrence, about 16500 plants took part in TWI training, about 1.75 million people were trained and certified.most of them were the crucial few-technician in critical skill jobs and supervisors charged with making sure that others performed a huge amount of work properly

10 Langkah Mudah Membuat Resume

July 21, 2008

GEMBA KAIZEN

July 21, 2008

Kai = Break, change Zen = simple, better
Kaizen = continous improvement yaitu perbaikan terus menerus
Mengapa Menggunakan Kaizen?

Cepat dan mudah pelaksanaannya
Big impact > direct attack ke masalah
Hasil bisa langsung dirasakan
Menggunakan SDM yang ada
Fokus pada major issue
Teamwork, lihat dengan kacamata berbeda
Melewati semua batasan birokrasi
Bisa dipakai untuk referensi Kaizen berikutnya

Apa yang dipelajari di Kaizen ?

Sejarah Lean Production System
Mengenal 7 waste di manufaturing
Value added vs non value added
Ergonomic, work flow & work stations
Material flow dan line lay out
Base data vs improvement
Follow up activities after Kaizen
Sistem Produksi yang Lean

Penyebab Kaizen Gagal

Salah prioritas utama (produksi, design, bisnis)
Ketidakmampuan membaca peluang ke depan
Gagal menerapkan ADOPT, ADAPT &CREATIVITY

Pull system semaksimal mungkin
Ergonomic dan peletakan line tooling
Material flow dan inventory system secara keseluruhan

GEMBA

5 Gemba-Principles

When a trouble happens go to gemba first
Check with gembutsu (machines, tools, reject and customer complaints)
Take temporary countermeasures on the spot.

Find out the root cause

Standardize for prevention of recurrence

Housekeeping
Muda Elimination
Standardization
1. Housekeeping

Seven waste / muda

Muda of over production yaitu memproduksi melebihi yang diinginkan oleh konsumen sehingga menimbulkan stock.
Muda of transportation , ketika material bergerak diatas truk, conveyor, forklift merupakan sesuatu yang no value added.
Muda of producing rejects , menghasilkan reject cenderung mengakibatkan rework atau bahkan material terbuang sia-sia (big muda).
